End of tha samestur

Well, it's been a good run so far, but all good things must come to an end...for now. Studio[56] had its last show on 12/5, but it'll be back in January with a new time slot, so keep an eye out for any updates.

Oh, yeah, and whoever was supposed to maintain the blog with the playlists from each show has been sacked. Hopefully, there's someone out there who won't let the Studio down. Thanks to everyone who listened to the show this semester and we'll see you in January!

11/7: The Show Without a Name

Yeah, I wasn't creative enough to come up with a name for this show; if I do, I'll be sure to update this.

Here's a taste of what I'm gonna play:

> Santana
> Paramore
> Cake
> A Fine Frenzy
> Pink Floyd

PLUS a special guest (tentatively).

10/31: All Hallow's Eve

This is possibly the biggest and best show of the semester on Studio[56]. A quick note to whoever reads this: the show's going to be starting at a different time (anywhere from 6-7) and going until 8PM, so tune in accordingly.

BIG NEWS! I've got a special surprise: a live set performed by a couple friends. It's going to be AWESOME, so keep your ears open!

Oh, and since I already revealed one surprise, I won't tell you guys what kind of music to expect; however, the day and the name of the show should give you some idea. ;)

Here's the playlist for the show:
> Alfred Hitchcock Presents (theme song)
> This is Halloween - Danny Elfman
> Sally's Song - Amy Lee
> Born of the Night - Midnight Syndicate
> Otherworldly Music - Disneyland's Haunted Mansion
> Touch-A, Touch-a, Touch me - Rocky Horror Picture Show

10/17: Shiny and new

For the first official show (if you don't consider the impromptu show on Tuesday an actual show), I plan to play new music* since my show is new.

*new music = Songs off of the artist's/band's most recent album, or music you probably haven't heard before.

That said, here's a tentative list of artists I plan to play:
- Paramore
- Lacuna Coil
- Three Days Grace
- the Noisettes
- A Fine Frenzy

and others as I think of them. Oh, and there'll be another song that you guys will probably kill me for playing, but whatever; you have no room to complain if you don't call in to request shit. <3

Here's the playlist for the show:

> War Pigs - Cake
> Give it to Me - 3 Doors Down
> Had Enough - Breaking Benjamin
> When I Come Around - Green Day
> Ignorance - Paramore
> Stay Forever - Delain
> Almost Lover - A Fine Frenzy
> You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift
> World So Cold - Three Days Grace
> Never Forget You - the Noisettes
> The Last Song I'm Wasting on You - Evanescence
> I'm Not Afraid - Lacuna Coil
